About Tower-Air

TOWER AIR, INC. (Nasdaq: National Market: TOWR)

Tower Air, Inc., headquartered at John F. Kennedy International Airport, began service in 1983 as a scheduled U.S. carrier.

The airline provides low-cost scheduled and charter, passenger and cargo air service in diverse domestic and international markets. Tower's principal business strategy is to provide airline service in markets where a low operating cost structure permits profitable operation, while providing quality passenger service.

Tower Air operates an all Boeing-747 fleet, consisting of 15 passenger and two cargo aircraft. By operating 747s exclusively, the company reduces training and maintenance costs while adding flexibility. This structure has allowed Tower to remain profitable, despite the uncertainties of the industry throughout most of the 1990's.

Tower offers international and U.S. scheduled service between JFK (New York) and Athens, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Paris, San Francisco, San Juan, and Tel-Aviv.

The airline also provides charter service to several United States and foreign tour operators, and is a major supplier of charter passenger and cargo services to the United States military and the United Nations.

Tower's fleet is continuously maintained to a high standard, including new interiors and advanced technical equipment which provide passengers with state-of-the-art comfort and safety.

Passengers traveling in Economy Class enjoy seats with more leg room and extra-large overhead bins for carry-on luggage. Business Class features wide seats located in the front cabin (where most carriers offer first-class seating) and in a dedicated, non-smoking cabin in the exclusive upper deck.

The newly renovated Tower Air Terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport offers travelers a comfortable, convenient and uncongested environment. Once inside they can enjoy the European-modular design, spacious waiting rooms and renowned works of art. There is even a meditation area or "quiet room."

Tower Air employs more than 1,750 motivated employees who are committed to passenger safety, service and comfort.

Tower Air, Inc. is a member of the International Air Transportation Association (I.A.T.A.).

CEO Morris Nachtomi

Morris K. Nachtomi has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Tower Air, Inc. since 1989, President since 1986, and a Director since 1982. He became the company's majority stockholder in December, 1988.

Mr. Nachtomi began a 30-year career with El Al, Israel's flagship airline, in 1951. Between 1954 and 1957, he served in the Israeli Army. He subsequently returned to El Al where he was named Reservations Manager for Israel in 1957. In 1962, Mr. Nachtomi was transferred to London, where he worked until 1970, advancing to the post of Deputy Manager of the United Kingdom and Ireland. He returned to Israel in 1970 as Deputy Manager of Israel. In 1974, Mr. Nachtomi became United States Sales Manager and, after five years, he again returned to Israel to become El Al's Manager for Israel. He retired from El Al in 1981.

In March 1981, Mr. Nachtomi joined Tower Travel Corp., a tour package and wholesaler based in New York, concentrating mainly on the U.S. - Israel markets. The company quickly entered the U.S. air transportation industry when Tower Travel signed a chartering agreement with Metro International Airways, a subsidiary of international cargo specialist, Flying Tiger Lines.

In August 1982, Mr. Nachtomi, co-founded Tower Air, Inc. The airline received its operating certificate in 1983 and began scheduled operations to Israel from New York in November of that year. Since then, Tower has maintained a regular pattern of service to and from Israel, and was the only non-Israeli carrier to fly to Israel throughout the duration of the Persian Gulf War.

Flying primarily charter routes during its first few years of operation, Tower Air has steadily grown by concentrating its core business strategy in the scheduled passenger, cargo and military segments and establishing itself as a significant niche operator of low-cost scheduled service to select markets. Today Tower Air operates a fleet of 15 Passenger and 2 Cargo Boeing-747's. Offering scheduled service to 9 destinations, as well as Cargo service to several international destinations.

It is Mr. Nachtomi's long-standing belief that attention to detail is essential for the success of any enterprise.

"At Tower Air, excellent results are obtained in a 'partnership' atmosphere. This type of operating environment attracts and stimulates talented, motivated people. Thus, we are making considerable strides each day toward extending our ability to better serve our passengers."
